Dear Friends,

Writing this to you now, I realise just how long it’s been since I pressed send on a newsletter. Since my father died in early January, life has insisted on my full presence in expected and surprising ways. I said goodbye to beloved furry family, recommenced practice as a community legal centre lawyer after 30 years away and found a small permanent affordable home for my creative business in a co-working space for artists.

What began as a week or two break from writing soon became two months of much needed breathing space and a vacuum for new ideas.

These times are calling for us to remember who we truly are - bridges between worlds, alchemists and co-creators of something more beautiful, just and wild. And, a return to the sacred contract between self, spirit, each other and the more-than-human world.

I’m also excited to let you know that I have created my very first online course!

Available now on demand, and at an intentionally low price, my hope is that this course, like the book Reunion Songs that inspired it, supports as many of you as possible on your own path of remembering and reconnection, guided by your inner knowing. This course is not about polished verse or technical craft - it’s about remembering what you already know, deep in your bones.

It’s remembering as activism.

Over the journey, you’ll be guided through seven doorways, each a 6 lesson spiral into deeper remembering - of your body, the Earth, your ancestors, the more-than-human world, the Mystery, the quiet wisdom that lives inside you and our belonging to each other.

Each of the doorways includes short, soulful practices that blend poetry, ritual and presence.

Meander in solitude at your own pace at a time that suits you. Start your journey whenever you are ready. Take a break and circle back in your own time.

Whether you write a poem a day, engage through daily affirmations, or simply reflect with journal prompts, the experience is designed to meet you gently, wherever you are. All you need is a willingness to listen.

In the coming months, I plan to guide our first 7 day Poetry as Portal in Community, where we’ll walk together with Poetry as Portal on Demand as our guide. Each day will offer additional opportunities to deepen and expand our individual and collective journeys with the option to share your reflections and writings around the campfire of our private online community.
